Beautiful, I wish they were playing the full suite with the other movements. Just stunning music!!!! I can hear shades of Richard Strauss in the orchestrations and sheer romanticism of it.

I'm sure you're even "happy" about this, but there are many other translations (which I don't want to post here ) that are NOT that pleasant ....come on, maybe a bit of the original thing would help, no? One thing I've never understood. Late in his life, Beethoven is claimed to have expressed regret at having less time remaining, like all artists as they age, to continue creating his work. One thing he was sad about in particular was that he was only beginning to really understand the woodwinds. Having been a decent player of both clarinet and bassoon as a younger person and a big listener of this music, I still wonder what he thought he was missing or what his work was lacking in that regard.

I found it quite interesting for me to play Bach cello suites and Paganini's Caprices in my own mediocre technique on my viola 💯

it seems to me that they don't understand that Paavo Jårvi's advices are not friend's talks!! But precious advices from a real conductor (!) to students, only students: because it's clear that they have a long, long long road ahead....

these young candidates look relaxed and "cool" also with Maestro Jårvi.... but in reality they show that they are extremely immature musically and this orchestra,so excellen, is really wasted
